Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled, licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in a dual-role capacity. You’ll be hands-on with both traditional commercial electrical work and building automation system installations. At Altitude, we understand that improperly installed or poorly sequenced controls can break even the best mechanical systems — causing comfort issues, wasted energy, and major repair bills. That’s why we need electricians who take pride in doing the job right, from roughing in conduit to commissioning a complete DDC controls system.

Key Responsibilities
 • Perform commercial electrical installations including conduit, panel work, circuit wiring, and equipment connections
 • Install, troubleshoot, and service electrical systems for building automation projects
 • Run power and control wiring for HVAC equipment, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motorized equipment
 • Support integration of HVAC controls, sensors, actuators, and DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems
 • Work on projects including pneumatic-to-digital control migrations, multi-system integrations, and custom automation designs
 • Collaborate with controls programmers and BAS technicians on commercial job sites
 • Support BACnet Secure Network (B/SN) infrastructure installations and wiring
 • Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and automation system schematics
 • Ensure all work meets NEC standards and local Colorado code requirements
 • Represent Altitude professionally with facility managers, building owners, and general contractors

Requirements
 • Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Colorado
 • 3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
 • Proficiency in conduit bending, panel terminations, and general electrical installation
 • Familiarity with building automation or HVAC controls systems (Reliable Controls, BACnet, or similar) is a plus
 • Strong understanding of NEC and local code compliance
 • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 • Valid driver’s license
 • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

What We Offer
 • Competitive journeyman wages with overtime opportunity
 • Diverse, meaningful work — no two days are the same
 • Work on high-profile projects across Colorado’s commercial and institutional sectors
 • Ongoing technical training in cutting-edge automation platforms
 • A company built on service excellence — we’re a tech company that controls HVAC and electrical systems
 • Family-owned business where your craft and reputation matter
 • Supportive team environment with experienced controls specialists
