The Electrical Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the manufacturing engineering operations across the facility, managing a team of 3 engineers, working closely with other departments such as production, facilities, QA and supply chain. This role ensures documentation and development of efficient processes, identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities, the design and selection of test equipment and capital equipment, and the handling of personnel issues.
Key responsibilities include overseeing daily workflow of the Engineering department, collaborating with other leaders to set and assess priorities across teams, assessing cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; making and implementing recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency, supervising tooling operations, ensuring all work is performed accurately and according to quality and safety standards, reviewing and approving engineering change documentation, managing the development and control of tooling, method sheets, manufacturing procedures, training programs, routers, data sheets, set-up sheets, sequence of events sheets, and related documentation, administering the design, selection, and acquisition of manufacturing tools and equipment, including Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR's), validating time standards for existing and new products, implementing Lean Manufacturing initiatives, working closely with the EHS Manager to ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines including EPA, OSHA, etc., ensuring team is fully trained and receives applicable development/training to improve skill sets, leading company OPEX, VA/VE savings program and reporting, direct, coordinating, and evaluating assigned departments, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, ideally in Electrical Engineering; will consider equivalent combination of education and experience, 5+ years of related experience in manufacturing engineering, 3+ years of leadership experience supervising others and developing talent, thorough understanding of manufacturing operations and tooling, proficiency with Microsoft Office spreadsheets and AutoCad. Desired qualifications include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a team environment, experience in Lean Manufacturing, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, proactive approach to improving operations, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration and may be required to lift 20-30 pounds at times.
