Job Description:
  • The JIRA Integration Specialist is responsible for automating and managing AVR to JIRA ticketing and workflow integration, enabling seamless creation, synchronization, and lifecycle management of application security vulnerabilities from ServiceNow AVR into JIRA.
  • The role ensures consistent, auditable workflows that support AppSec migration, automation, and compliance execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and support AVR to JIRA automation for security defect ticket creation, updates, and closure.
  • Configure JIRA workflows, issue types, fields, and automation rules to align with AppSec vulnerability lifecycle and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accurate bidirectional status updates between ServiceNow AVR and JIRA where applicable.
  • Support Vulnerability Operations and engineering teams to ensure timely visibility and tracking of AppSec findings.
  • Troubleshoot integration, workflow, and datasync issues across AVR and JIRA.
  • Provide inputs to governance reporting and dashboards derived from JIRA ticket data.
  • Operate strictly within SOW scope (no remediation, development, or custom reporting).
Experience & Skills:
  • 4 7 years of experience in JIRA administration, workflow automation, or integration roles.
  • Handson experience with ServiceNow AVR and JIRA integrations or security/defect management tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of JIRA workflows, automation, issue schemas, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with Application Security vulnerability management processes.
  • Strong coordination skills working with security, engineering, and operations teams.
