Job Description

We are seeking an JDE (RPG/ Cobol) Developer Contractor to join our project team supporting our client. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, and AS/400-based JDE World environments and a proven ability to design, develop, optimize, and support Oracle-based applications while translating business requirements into secure and performant technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications using PL/SQL and SQL.
• Design and create database objects to support application development and integration.
• Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for performance and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
• Provide application support, troubleshooting, and enhancements ensuring data integrity and security.
• Support development in JDE World v7.3 on AS/400 with RPG and COBOL where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience with Cobol
• Strong PL/SQL and SQL development skills for Oracle database applications.
• Experience designing database objects, performance tuning, and ensuring data security.
• Proven ability to analyze business requirements and produce clear technical specifications.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with JDE World v7.3 on AS/400, including RPG and COBOL development.
• Background supporting sold/funded enterprise projects in consulting environments.
