Position Title: JBS Sanitation Supervisor 
 
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly organized and hands-on individual to join our organization as a Sanitation Operations Supervisor for C shift. As a Sanitation Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sanitation activities at our facility by: meeting-cleaning deadlines, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining cleanliness of your floor, training employees, and prioritizing safety above all. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, sanitation experience, and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. They will also have the ability to adapt due to ever-changing challenges, operational demands, staffing needs, and production pressures while maintaining accountability, professionalism, and a sense of urgency throughout the shift.
 
Responsibilities:
 
1. Sanitation Operations Management:
· Supervise and actively participate in the execution of daily sanitation activities, including cleaning, sanitizing, waste management, and pest control, to ensure compliance with established procedures and schedules.
· Conduct regular inspections to assess sanitation conditions, identify areas for improvement, and take immediate corrective actions, as needed.
· Lead by example in maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.
· Collaborate with the Sanitation Operations Superintendent to develop and update sanitation protocols, procedures, timelines, and guidelines.
· Oversee the inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring their availability, proper storage, and efficient usage.
× Drive Key Performance Indicator’s to ensure company goals are continuously met through accountability, operational execution, and team performance.
× Understand supervisors are expected to remain on-site until all assigned responsibilities, operational tasks, and sanitation expectations for the day are fully completed.
· Other duties as assigned.
 
2. Employee Training and Development:
· Train and mentor sanitation employees on proper sanitation procedures, timelines, equipment operation, safety protocols, and personal hygiene practices.
· Provide ongoing coaching and support to employees, ensuring their understanding and adherence to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines.
· Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.
 
3. Safety and Compliance:
· Champion a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures within the sanitation team.
· Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards or risks related to sanitation operations.
· Collaborate with the health and sanitation safety team to implement and reinforce safety programs, conduct safety training sessions, and investigate accidents or incidents.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable sanitation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
× Drive sanitation operations without doing the tasks to ensure a safe environment.
 
4. Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
· Implement quality control measures to ensure sanitation processes meet established standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
× Foster an environment of ownership through driving micro results.
· Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any sanitation-related issues that may impact product quality and safety.
· Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement in sanitation operations, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
· Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management, and propose relevant improvements or upgrades.
 
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent. Additional relevant education or certifications are a plus.
· Proven experience in hands-on sanitation operations, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
· Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations and industry best practices.
· Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead by example and motivate a team effectively.
· Hands-on approach with a willingness to actively participate in sanitation activities, as needed.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and develop employees, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks.
· Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Office applications.
· Commitment to safety and ability to promote and enforce a culture of safety.
· Physical stamina and ability to perform hands-on duties that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
