Savan is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Java/Hyland Nuxeo Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise content management (ECM) solutions. This role combines strong Java and front-end development expertise with the opportunity to grow into or advance as a Nuxeo specialist. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in web application development, REST APIs, and Agile practices, with the ability to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly ECM implementations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Java-based web applications with an emphasis on scalable, maintainable code.
  • Build and enhance user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Consume and extend REST APIs to support integration and feature development.
  • Design, configure, and implement solutions on the Hyland Nuxeo platform.
  • Develop custom workflows, features, and automation scripts using Nuxeo Studio, APIs, and Web UI.
  • Integrate Nuxeo with third-party systems (CRM, ERP, case management platforms).
  • Configure metadata models, schemas, and taxonomies for effective content management.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
  • Create dashboards, UI components, and user experiences leveraging Nuxeo Web UI and Polymer.
  • Support migration of legacy content management systems into Nuxeo.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across Java and Nuxeo environments.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
  • Document code, configurations, and solutions; provide training and knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain/hold a Public Trust clearance.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Java web application development.
  • Strong front-end development expertise (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular/Vue).
  • Hands-on experience consuming and extending REST APIs.
  • Experience with Agile development practices and DevOps methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience with containerized development (Docker or Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency with Git (branching, merging, conflict resolution, version control best practices).
  • Understanding of application security principles, including identity and role-based access controls.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt quickly.

Preferred Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Hyland Nuxeo (Studio, APIs, Web UI, Polymer).
  • Familiarity with Jakarta EE frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (FISMA, HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP).
  • Understanding of enterprise content lifecycle, workflows, and automation.
