Senior Java Developer with Angular
Location: Woodlawn, MD (100% Onsite – 5 Days/Week)
Employment Type: Contract
Interview Mode: Second round Inperson 

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with Angular to support a federal project with Leidos. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing enterprise web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular (9+), REST APIs, Microservices, and Kafka. Experience with AWS, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile development is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and REST APIs
Develop cloud-native Microservices and Kafka-based solutions
Build responsive, Section 508-compliant user interfaces
Develop SOAP & REST web services
Deploy and support applications on AWS
Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
Perform unit testing and code reviews
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
Mentor junior developers and collaborate with Agile teams
Follow secure coding practices and resolve security vulnerabilities

Qualifications

Required Skills
10+ years of Java/J2EE development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular (9+), REST APIs
Experience building Microservices and distributed applications
Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka
Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, jQuery
Understanding of Single Page Applications (SPA)
Experience with SOAP & REST Web Services
Hands-on experience with Spring (IOC, MVC, Security, Batch), Hibernate, JPA, Spring JDBC
Experience with PostgreSQL, DB2, Tomcat, WebSphere
Experience with AWS Cloud
Strong knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube, Fortify, Jira, UrbanCode Deploy
Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, TDD, BDD (Cucumber)
Knowledge of OAuth2/JWT, XML, JSON, CXF, JAX-WS, JAXB, Jersey
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
