Java FSE Technical Architect @ Pleasanton, CA

Title: Java FSE Technical Architect

Location: Onsite in Pleasanton, CA

Duration: 9 months with possible extension

Type: Contract

**Client is looking for strong, competent profiles who are comfortable with a high-visibility role as the CWR will be the main POC for stakeholders.**

Top 3 Skills Required:

Distributed Application Development: Extensive experience (13+ years) in developing applications using Java/APIs, Springboot, and Microservices Tech Stack.

Enterprise/Application Architecture: Significant experience (13+ years) in designing and architecting enterprise-level applications.

Software Development Methodologies: Proficiency (5+ years) in various methodologies such as RUP, Agile, and Waterfall.

Responsibilities:

• Develop high-level solution designs for applications and systems.
• Lead and participate in reviews of design concepts and create technical design documentation.
• Develop initial estimates for solution alternatives and make solution recommendations to the business area.
• Initiate, identify, and coordinate the analysis of complex client needs in project areas such as new business operating models, innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality, and operational readiness assessment.
• Participate in the leadership of cross-functional and/or cross-divisional task forces to identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specifications.
• Develop efficient, cost-effective solutions that support client business processes and functional requirements.
• Consult on the identification and definition of solution alternatives within the frameworks provided by Enterprise Architecture.
• Identify opportunities for solution sharing and reuse.
• Coordinate with other project managers and implement schedule deadlines as appropriate.
• Advise clients on the consequences of actions, communicate risks, and ensure understanding of these risks. Jointly develop risk assessment plans with clients.
• Participate in Enterprise Architecture integration, partnering, and coordination activities.

Qualifications:

• 13+ years of distributed application development (Java/APIs, Springboot, Microservices Tech Stack).
• 13+ years of enterprise/application architect experience.
• 5+ years of experience with software development methodologies (RUP, Agile, Waterfall).
• 5+ years of web service design, development, and delivery experience.
• 3+ years of framework and reusable component development.
• Good to have Azure experience.
• Strong understanding of full stack modern technologies from UI layer to middleware and DB layer in great detail.
• Good understanding of modern distributed architecture and development frameworks (such as SOA, Lambda, Microservices) for scalable and fast applications.
• Good grasp of modern and rich UI application architecture with preferable coding experience in JavaScript frameworks and libraries (such as Angular, Backbone), HTML, and CSS.
• Excellent understanding of design patterns.
• Experience with databases including MongoDB and MySQL.
• Experience writing shell scripts.
• Azure Cloud experience.
• Integration and designing enterprise-grade applications using SaaS platforms & real-time API integration.
• Data integration with SaaS platforms.
