Job Summary

We are seeking a talentedJava Developer to join a collaborative and fast-paced development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications while supporting enterprise software systems. The ideal candidate has experience with Java, Spring Boot, database technologies, and the full software development lifecycle. This position also requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work directly with internal teams and customers to resolve technical issues.

 

Job Description

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based backend applications and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code while meeting project deadlines.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL and/or NoSQL database solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, improve performance, and enhance functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices and team knowledge sharing.
  • Implement security and data protection standards following industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and customers to gather requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Document customer interactions, technical solutions, and development workflows in a timely manner.
  • Consult with engineering teams to evaluate hardware/software interfaces and recommend system improvements.
  • Support software maintenance activities and provide technical guidance to users as needed.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Work independently while effectively managing priorities in a collaborative team environment.

 

Skills Required

  • 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 11 and Java 17.
  • Experience developing applications using Spring Boot and the Spring Framework, including Spring Data and Spring Security.
  • Experience developing RESTful web services and APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
  • Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including business analysis, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot code, diagnose application issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

Preferred Skills/Attributes:

  • Results-
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and build automation, including Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Knowledge of JMS/Messaging technologies.
  • Experience with XML and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with Java EE/J2EE and JSP technologies.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

 

Pay Rate

  • $48 - $62 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
