Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and CI/CD and a proven ability to deliver scalable APIs, optimize performance, and support reliable deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE REST APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues and optimize application performance.
- Support deployments and follow best practices for backend programming and delivery.
Project & Team Environment:
- Work on enterprise API and integration projects supporting customer, account, transaction, and business capabilities.
- Contribute to cloud-native and microservices modernization with Java/Spring technologies.
- Deliver new features, application enhancements, and system integrations.
- Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team with developers, QA, architects, business analysts, and DevOps, across onshore and offshore groups.
Stakeholders & Communication:
- Partner with the Technical Lead and Solution Architect for design and technical decisions.
- Engage with the Product Owner and Business Analyst for requirements and prioritization.
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, and partner application teams for testing and deployments.
- This role does not involve client interactions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Core backend development with Java 8, J2EE, Spring Boot, JUnit 5, and Maven.
- Hands-on experience building REST APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of backend best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
- Experience with Agile development workflows.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in large corporate IT environments with standard tools for design, build, test, and debug.
- Continuous Integration exposure with Jenkins, Maven, and GitHub.
- Adherence to coding standards, unit test coverage, automation, and CI practices.

- Interview: Two rounds. Video required. In-person preferred.
