Pay Range: $45-$52/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java AWS Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java development, serverless architectures, RESTful APIs, CI/CD automation, and cloud infrastructure. This is a 100% onsite role in McLean, VA, requiring candidates who are local and available for in-person interviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Java applications on AWS.
  • Build cloud-native and microservices-based applications using modern AWS services.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, AWS API Gateway, and AWS Lambda.
  • Design and implement serverless architectures leveraging Lambda, Step Functions, and API Gateway.
  • Develop scalable applications utilizing AWS services including EC2, S3, DynamoDB, ECS, EKS, and Fargate.
  • Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
  • Implement automated testing and deployment strategies.
  • Monitor application health and troubleshoot production issues using CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray.
  • Implement AWS security best practices using IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, and encryption services.
  • Develop backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions using EBS and S3.
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 10 years of experience in Java application development.
  • Strong expertise in Core Java and advanced Java concepts.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing applications on AWS.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native and serverless architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation).
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting cloud applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
