Summary:
Lead, train, and support on-site janitorial staff to ensure a safe work environment while consistently meeting or exceeding customer quality expectations. This union position offers excellent benefits, including generous paid time off and a pension program.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00am)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and train the janitorial staff within the building.
- Assign shift schedules and area work responsibilities.
- Manage employee relations and performance issues promptly and appropriately; document and report concerns to management or Human Resources.
- Review employee timekeeping records to ensure compliance with company policies and complete payroll documentation to ensure all employee hours are paid accurately.
- Inspect the job site regularly to identify quality concerns or project work needs; complete and submit inspection reports.
- Identify and communicate the need for special project work to management.
- Operate floor-cleaning equipment as needed (e.g., buffer, walk-behind scrubber, spot carpet cleaner).
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to customer concerns or complaints.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.
- Complete all required training courses.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently.
- High level of integrity required.
