Job Title: Janitor Custodian (2nd Shift)
Location: Lincoln, NH 03251
Pay rate: $23.96/hr (Base rate of $20.46/hr plus a $3.50/hr Shift Differential)
Work schedule: Full-Time | 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Overview

The Janitor Custodian performs both light and heavy janitorial duties to clean and maintain an industrial manufacturing facility. This role ensures offices, restrooms, break rooms, and production support areas remain clean, sanitized, and well-stocked. Operating under minimal supervision, the custodian is responsible for routine floor care, waste removal, and specialized cleaning projects while strictly adhering to all facility safety regulations.

Job Specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Facility Sanitation: Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and deep-clean designated plant and office areas, including cleaning localized ceiling vents.

  • Restroom Maintenance: Clean and thoroughly sanitize all facility restrooms across multiple buildings. Tasks include sanitizing toilets and fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot-cleaning partition walls/doors, sweeping/mopping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and restocking all soap and paper dispensers.

  • Office & Break Room Care: Clean designated office spaces and all communal break rooms daily. Ensure windows are washed routinely and kept free of debris.

  • Waste Management: Collect, remove, and safely dispose of trash and recyclables from all facility buildings.

  • Inventory & Equipment Upkeep: Maintain, organize, and properly store cleaning equipment and chemical supplies. Monitor stock levels and report inventory shortages to management.

  • Facility Monitoring: Identify and promptly notify management of any structural deficiencies, maintenance defects, or equipment repair needs.

  • Special Projects: Carry out intensive, heavy cleaning tasks and custom facility projects as directed by management.

  • Safety Compliance: Understand, follow, and comply with all established corporate safety guidelines and chemical handling regulations.

Must Have Skills / Requirements

  • Prior Experience: Proven hands-on working experience as a professional cleaner or custodian, preferably within a commercial or industrial setting.

  • Chemical Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals, standard sanitizing agents, and basic janitorial supplies.

  • Operational Autonomy: Highly responsible, reliable, and capable of working efficiently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
