About the Role
As an Infusion Nurse, you will deliver specialized infusion therapies, monitor patient progress, and educate patients and caregivers to ensure safe and effective care. Working under physician-directed plans of care, you'll collaborate closely with the broader clinical team to support optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage nursing care plans in alignment with physician orders
- Administer IV therapies, manage central lines, and perform related clinical procedures
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and respond to clinical changes
- Educate patients and caregivers to promote independence with care and therapy
- Document all services in real-time using mobile EMR tools
- Communicate with physicians, care teams, and caregivers to ensure care continuity
- Support discharge planning and communicate care summaries
- Adhere to clinical protocols, HIPAA regulations, and Corewood Care standards
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland
- Current BLS, ACLS certification
- 3+ years of nursing experience (infusion preferred)
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Basic proficiency in mobile technology and EMR systems
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 1+ year of home health or infusion experience
Physical and Safety Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 75 lbs)
- Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and maneuvering of medical equipment
- Use of PPE in home settings with variable environmental conditions
- Potential exposure to bodily fluids and household risks
Travel
- 100% local travel required within assigned region
