Sous Chef Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years experience as a Sous Chef in high-volume or upscale dining
  • Strong skills in pizza making and dough fermentation
  • Experience working with wood-fired ovens preferred
  • Solid understanding of scratch kitchen operations
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences

Sous Chef Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Knowledge of Neapolitan or artisanal pizza techniques
  • Italian language skills are a strong advantage
  • Experience collaborating with culinary leadership in a team-oriented environment

Sous Chef Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain wood-fired pizza ovens with consistency and care
  • Execute dough fermentation, proofing, and daily prep processes
  • Maintain outstanding food quality, presentation, and station cleanliness
  • Support ingredient quality control, inventory, and product rotation
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure an exceptional guest experience
