IT TECHNICIAN - SR. IT TECHNICIAN - Solar System Science & Exploration - Boulder, CO

Who We Are:

The Solar System Science & Exploration Division is located in Boulder, Colorado. The roughly 115 staff are involved in science and engineering work supporting basic research and analysis in a wide range of space topics, instrument development, and mission design and operations. The Computer and Software Sciences section is seeking an IT technician to support IT services in the Division. By joining our team, you will receive an additional $500 in your first paycheck, minus taxes.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Provide end-user support for a variety of computer operating systems such and Windows, MacOS and Linux.
  • Set up new computing hardware for end users.
  • Assist more senior IT staff with appropriate tasks, e.g. server installations.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Setting up new computers for end users, including laptops and desktop workstations.
  • Handle ticketing system requests from end users for IT support.
  • Work on IT issues with other IT support team members.
  • This role requires to be full time in-office.
Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years: Experience with IT support.
  • Experience with Windows and MacOS preferred, Linux experience a plus.
Special Requirements:

Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section. Work assignment is in Boulder, Colorado.
