This position provides technical customer services support for city information technology end users. Major Duties Pulls, routes, installs, and repairs cables for PCs, WAN, and LAN within City buildings. Works closely with the City of Dothan fiber team, fostering collaboration and teamwork in fiber deployment, maintenance, and design implementations. Assists in long-term projects as determined by the Infrastructure Division Manager. Assists the Infrastructure Division Manager in building the City of Dothan L 2 switching environment. Assists in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Wired and Wireless LAN equipment, WAN equipment, Access, security systems, backup/recovery systems, web-filtering, and firewall maintenance. Works closely with the Infrastructure team to create and maintain documentation as necessary. Answers telephone and provides assistance to technology end users.
