In this role, you will ensure that customer systems remain secure, compliant, and mission-ready for any challenge.
The ISSE is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing secure information systems that support mission operations. Conduct or support technical cybersecurity assessments, security audits, and contingency planning.
Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to recommend mitigation strategies that reduce operational risk.
Identify system vulnerabilities and instances of non-compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
Assess portfolios of existing and new security scanning and monitoring tools, ensuring proper integration within system environments and DevSecOps pipelines.
Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) authorization process by reviewing security documentation and providing risk-based recommendations to stakeholders.
Participate actively in the Change Advisory Board (CAB), assessing the impact of proposed changes and communicating required security artifacts.
