We are an established Connecticut-based Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) specializing in managed IT services, Microsoft 365 migrations, server infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT infrastructure support. We support small to mid-sized businesses, municipalities, and professional organizations with practical, reliable technology solutions and responsive customer service.
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator / Engineer to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on technical skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced MSP environment supporting a variety of client networks, servers, cloud services, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with and perform Microsoft 365 migrations, including Exchange Online migrations and user onboarding
• Upgrade and maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file sharing, and virtualization
• Support infrastructure upgrades including hardware refreshes, workstation deployments, and software migrations
• Manage and troubleshoot Hyper-V and/or VMware environments
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, networking equipment, wireless systems, and remote access solutions
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Azure AD, Intune, OneDrive, SharePoint, and email security
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity solutions
• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for escalated issues
• Document systems, configurations, and project details
• Occasionally perform on-site service work at customer locations
Qualifications:
• 3–5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, MSP support, or infrastructure support
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and migrations
• Working knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware
• Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching, and firewalls
• Experience troubleshooting Windows desktop and server environments
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and interact professionally with clients
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
Experience with the following is a plus:
• SonicWall, Ubiquiti, Cisco, or similar firewall/network platforms
• Datto, Veeam, or similar backup technologies
• Microsoft Intune and endpoint security solutions
• MSP or multi-client support experience
• Microsoft or CompTIA certifications
Position Details:
• Full-time position
• Primarily on-site with local client travel
• Occasional after-hours or weekend project work may be required
Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary range: $50,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, technical ability, customer service skills, and overall fit for the position
