A support engineer maintains and troubleshoots the existing computers, laptops, security, and servers within their organization's network. They install, configure, and troubleshoot the computers, as well as all other applications and printers, to keep them at optimum performance. This is a very hands-on career that frequently requires the individual to respond to urgent requests and help individuals face to face; some travel may also be required.
A strong background in information technology and proficiency in all of the Windows platforms is required. Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as technical problem-solving skills. Some light programming, Microsoft Office, anti-virus, and network security experience or education are preferred.
A major requirement for all ATG engineers is to provide outstanding value to all customer engagements, cost-effectively and efficiently implementing new technology and maintaining existing systems. This includes remaining vigilant for opportunities to improve the customer's environment by recommending products and services that will enhance their productivity and profitability.
