ABOUT THE POSITION:
Brindlee Mountain Fire Apparatus (BMFA) is seeking a detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary resource for internal technology support. This role is responsible for resolving helpdesk tickets, maintaining end-user systems, and supporting the platforms our business runs on - most importantly, Salesforce. The right candidate takes ownership, communicates clearly, and keeps our people productive.
JOB DETAILS:
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Work Location: On-site - Huntsville, AL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the first point of contact for all internal IT support requests; triage, resolve, and document tickets through to completion
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the organization
Manage user accounts across all platforms: onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and password resets
Support and maintain Salesforce CRM - including user access, basic configuration, and ensuring staff are using the system consistently
Support users in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets) and Accounting Seed
Configure and deploy workstations, printers, and peripherals; maintain hardware inventory
Apply routine updates, patches, and backups; monitor basic system health
Enforce security best practices including MFA, phishing awareness, and endpoint compliance
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 1–2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related technical role; recent graduates with relevant coursework will be considered
Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Salesforce: Experience with Salesforce CRM at any level - user, admin, or support - is strongly preferred
Platforms: Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic cybersecurity practices
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills; able to work effectively with non-technical staff
Organization: Highly organized; able to manage multiple open tickets and competing priorities
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or relevant coursework preferred
License: Valid driver's license required
Certifications: CompTIA A+, Salesforce Administrator, or Google Workspace Administrator certification is a plus
