Overview
Our client is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join its internal technology team supporting employees across multiple office and operational locations. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with end users, and building a long-term career in infrastructure and desktop support.
This is a hands-on position where you'll work closely with users, troubleshoot technical issues, prepare new equipment, and contribute to a collaborative IT team.
Location: Onsite in the greater Charlotte metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for end-user technical support requests.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, hardware, software, printer, and mobile device issues.
- Resolve incidents whenever possible and escalate more complex issues with detailed documentation.
- Install, configure, and deploy new workstations and peripheral equipment.
- Assist with account management, password resets, and user onboarding.
- Support operating systems, business applications, and network connectivity.
- Maintain accurate ticket documentation and update support records.
- Participate in workstation refreshes, equipment deployments, and other IT projects.
- Provide excellent customer service while communicating with both technical and non-technical users.
- Help maintain a secure and reliable technology environment by following IT policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or help desk.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and common desktop hardware.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, Active Directory, and Microsoft technologies.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
