The IT Strategy & Solutions Region Leader is pivotal in aligning IT capabilities with regional business needs, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving value realization within a designated Novant Health Region. This position serves as a trusted advisor and advocate, ensuring that IT solutions and capabilities support Novant Health's mission of delivering remarkable healthcare experiences. This role is responsible for managing and navigating relationships within both the corporate IT organization and the region’s organizational leaders to drive collaborative efforts and produce and compile cross-functional insights that guide strategic and operational decisions.

 

The IT Strategy & Solutions Region Leader oversees the definition and prioritization of business requirements and goals to achieve projected value, participates in IT planning sessions to represent the needs and priorities of the Region, and ensures measurable results to key organizational initiatives.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Engineering or related academic discipline. Graduate Degree, preferred. Information Technology, Business Administration, or Health Information Sciences.
  • Experience: 10+ years experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on business relationship management or similar capability delivery functions, IT Program/Project Management, required.
  • Additional Skills (required):
    • Expert knowledge in IT Department Operations, and understanding of diverse application development practices, including both waterfall and agile methodologies.
    • Demonstrated experience working in organization of equivalent or larger scale and complexity.
    • Knowledge of office tools such as MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
    • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, overlapping, and potentially conflicting priorities.
    • Written and verbal communication skills using spoken English, including the ability to explain complex ideas to others with varying levels of expertise within the organization and with business partners.
    • Ability to navigate complex environments, work with interdisciplinary teams, and communicate priorities, delivery expectations, risks, and concerns to management.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others, conducting working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and the organization.
    • Ability to prepare high-impact presentations for senior management and other functional stakeholders.
    • Project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities.
    • Ability to self-motivate and pay attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
    •  Knowledge of leadership principles, including the ability to create and communicate goals clearly; align strategy, talent, and systems; respond to feedback and deliver constructive behavior-based feedback to others; demonstrate agility and emotional intelligence; coach, develop, and motivate others; and create an environment focused on service to internal and external customers.
    • Ability to create productive, sustainable cross-functional relationships based on trust, honoring commitments, patience, and internal service commitment.
    • Maintain deep healthcare domain knowledge, continuously evaluating industry trends to inform technology investment decisions.
    • Demonstrate sound judgment in balancing short-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals.
  • Additional Skills (preferred): BRMP® or CBRM® and/or PMI® certification is highly desirable.
