Our client, a growing, innovation-driven organization in a regulated industry is seeking an experienced IT SOX Analyst to support and enhance the compliance program.

Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of the organization’s IT SOX compliance program, including control documentation, walkthroughs, and testing activities
  • Perform testing of IT General Controls (ITGCs), including logical access, change management, and operational controls
  • Assess automated controls and IT-dependent manual controls within financial and operational systems
  • Identify control deficiencies and coordinate with process/control owners on remediation activities
  • Assist with IT risk assessments and ongoing compliance monitoring efforts
  • Support internal and external audit requests by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Maintain SOX-related documentation including narratives, risk/control matrices, and process flows
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to strengthen controls and improve operational processes
  • Support systems and technologies within SOX scope, including ERP applications, cloud-based platforms, and regulated operational systems
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on standardization, efficiency, and automation opportunities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline; equivalent experience considered
  • 5+ years of experience in IT audit, SOX compliance, IT risk, or related areas (or 3+ years with an advanced degree)
  • Understanding of SOX requirements and IT General Controls (ITGCs)
  • Experience supporting SOX programs within publicly traded or highly regulated organizations
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms and financial systems
  • Exposure to cloud technologies and related security/control frameworks
  • Experience working with regulated environments or operational systems subject to compliance requirements
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CPA, CISSP, or similar credentials preferred
  • Experience with audit management or governance/risk/compliance (GRC) tools
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative environment
  • Sound problem-solving skills and professional judgment in a fast-paced setting
