About the Opportunity
The IT Security Specialist II is responsible for supporting and enhancing the security posture of federal information systems through security assessments, authorization activities, and continuous monitoring efforts under the Risk Management Framework (RMF). This role works closely with federal stakeholders, system owners, and technical teams to identify risks, assess security controls, and ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and NIST standards in a remote and on-site work environment.
Success in this role means delivering high-quality security assessments, providing practical risk-based recommendations, and serving as a trusted cybersecurity advisor who helps strengthen the security and compliance of mission-critical systems across traditional and cloud-based environments.
