Type: Contract (6 months)
Location: Greater Nashville, TN — Hybrid (on-site ~2 days/week in Cool Springs/Franklin; specific days flexible)
We’re hiring a consulting IT Project Manager to parachute into an active transformation portfolio and keep high-visibility, executive-facing initiatives moving. You’ll coordinate cross-functional work across Clinical Operations, Finance, HR/TA, and Enterprise Technology; wrangle complex calendars and workshops; and drive structured change management and adoption for projects with significant operational impact.
This role is ideal for a polished consultant who’s comfortable with ambiguity, fast pace, and C-suite exposure—and who balances strategic facilitation with tactical, day-to-day project execution.
Operating model & division reorganization: Align systems, processes, and reporting structures to a three-division model (East/Central/West); partner closely with HRIS, Finance, and IT to implement org, security, and workflow changes.
Transformation Office cadence: Own a bi-weekly executive forum (Clinical Ops, Finance, Tech) including agenda, materials, KPIs, and action tracking; maintain momentum between meetings.
Revenue cycle/billing enablement: Support operational programs tied to public-sector reimbursement models (e.g., Medicaid 1115 waiver–related efforts), coordinating requirements across billing, EHR, and client operations.
Serve as the primary client-facing PM for assigned initiatives; facilitate executive sessions and stakeholder workshops; maintain clear, concise communications and decision logs.
Build & manage integrated project plans, RAID registers, dependency maps, and cutover/adoption plans; keep scope, timeline, and outcomes tightly governed.
Lead change management (stakeholder analysis, communications, training, and adoption metrics) leveraging Prosci/ADKAR or similar methods.
Drive meeting logistics end-to-end (calendars, rooms, virtual sessions, materials, follow-ups); ensure the right people are in the room at the right time.
Produce crisp executive decks and portfolio status (KPIs, decisions needed, risks, budget/burn).
Coordinate vendor/SI activities, NDAs/SOW support, demos, and proof-of-concepts; hold vendors accountable to milestones and deliverables.
Partner with HRIS/Finance/IT for configuration changes (org structures, roles, integrations, security); translate business needs into actionable requirements and stories.
Clear roadblocks creatively in a high-tempo environment where access to stakeholders can be challenging and priorities shift.
Consulting background (agency/Big-4/mid-tier boutique or equivalent client-facing delivery) with strong polish and stakeholder presence.
5–8+ years of IT project management with material operations/change management experience.
Demonstrated success driving C-suite–facing initiatives and facilitating executive decision-making.
Hands-on PM fundamentals: plan/build, drive, and do the work (not just advise).
Experience with one or more: ERP/R2R/O2C/P2P, HRIS/Workday/UKG, EHR/clinical or billing systems, public-sector reimbursement contexts.
Tools: MS Project or Smartsheet, PowerPoint (exec-level), Jira/Confluence, SharePoint/Teams.
Excellent written/verbal communication; meeting design, storytelling, and slide craft.
Prosci/ADKAR, PMP, or Agile credentials (CSM, SAFe).
Exposure to Medicaid/Medicare billing or 1115 waiver programs (or similar public-sector funding models).
Experience landing org restructures (division realignments, cost centers, security roles).
Prior work coordinating large vendors/SIs through RFP, selection, and implementation planning.
Flexible, creative problem-solver who can operate without heavy PMO scaffolding.
Thrives in fast-paced, “trauma-unit” environments—able to prioritize, re-sequence, and keep momentum.
Comfortable being on-site ~2 days/week to make sessions meaningful and unblock decisions.
Start: ASAP (flexible around key stakeholder availability)
Term: 6 months with likely extension based on portfolio needs
Rate: Competitive consulting rate commensurate with experience
