Job Title: IT Project Manager
Location: La Grange, IL
Hire Type: Contract
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday 8:00AM–5:00PM (some flexibility)
Pay: $48–$53/hr

Overview
The Contract Project Manager is responsible for leading IT initiatives across the organization by partnering with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong project management expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Job responsibilities :
Lead end-to-end project management activities, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, scope documents, schedules, cost estimates, RAID logs, and status reports.
Manage internal and external resources to ensure proper allocation, alignment, and support of project timelines.
Monitor project performance using established systems, metrics, and tools.
Provide timely updates on issues, risks, dependencies, and pending decisions; escalate to management as needed.
Manage project scope and change control processes using defined PMO standards.
Identify new project requirements, assess impacts, and prepare change requests or action plans.
Develop implementation strategies that align with business requirements and ensure smooth operational transition.
Report project status, milestones, and progress updates to leadership on a recurring basis.
Facilitate project meetings and ensure timely publication of meeting notes, action items, and deliverables.
Support PMO objectives by performing additional project-related duties as assigned.
Collaborate with business teams, technical teams, vendors, and third-party service providers to achieve project goals.
Ensure all project deliverables meet organizational standards and stakeholder expectations.
Maintain organized project documentation and ensure compliance with established project management methodologies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field required.
5+ years of project management experience leading technology projects, including software development, data analytics, and cloud implementation.
PMP certification preferred.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including waterfall, hybrid, and agile.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools.
Experience collaborating with vendors and third-party service providers.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
