Job Duties
The IT & Project Manager position is a Supervising Deputy Clerk position for a large, high-volume Court. The position is assigned supervisory responsibility for both routine and special projects related to the operations and services of the Court and works under the general direction of the Clerk of Court. This position is responsible for drafting information technology strategies, attending technology conferences, researching and implementing technology solutions, supporting automated systems, and other operational duties as assigned. This position also assumes responsibility over special IT projects in the areas of network and application support, website development, digital signage, and COOP / Emergency Response Planning. This position oversees two (2) IT Support Specialists.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: assist General District Court (GDC) employees with routine use of data applications and systems; on/off board staff to include state and county IDs and passwords; troublehoot network, application, and peripheral equipment problems; support, maintain, and update the Fairfax GDC websites; support the design, development, testing, and implementation of new and upgraded County, Commonwealth, and 3rd party applications; supervise routine purchases of IT supplies; assist with courtroom technology issues; schedule and support video hearings; act as a liaison between GDC and County and Commonwealth departments to ensure issues are handled efficiently; and provide help desk support for GDC users.
Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor"s degree in a related field; plus two to three years of related professional work experience in a business or court. Must be able to communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Must have experience in the installation and troubleshooting of laptops, networks, and telecommunication equipment.
All employees will receive a 15% salary supplement in addition to the state salary.
All work is on-site at the Fairfax County Courthouse. There is no remote work option.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office and/or courtroom setting. Duties require the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and operate standard office equipment. The employee may be required to lift or carry items weighing up to approximately 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
