As an IT Program Manager you will: Coordinate the development of Fiscal Service's information security program.

Build a Bureau-wide information security policy and risk management program ensuring that the security policies and procedures align with Federal, Treasury and other bureau policies, standards, and guidance.

Manage the IT Security Program for the Bureau.

Manage, coordinate, communicate, integrate and is accountable for the overall success of the IT Security Program by ensuring the program and Bureau goals align with critical Treasury policies, priorities, and goals.

Provide IT audit support to the bureau and auditors.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector, or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-15 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:

  • Led and managed an organization-wide Information Technology Security and Information Assurance Program including knowledge of information security standards and regulatory requirements such as Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST), International Organization Standard (ISO 27001), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other applicable government or industry frameworks.
  • Directed multidisciplinary cybersecurity staff responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of cybersecurity governance and compliance functions.
  • Collaborated with and advised senior leadership, staff, and stakeholders to establish strategic direction for Information Technology Security and Information Assurance Program initiatives.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must meet proficiency levels in each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Decision Making, Information Management, Interpersonal Skills, Oral Communication, Problem Solving, Teamwork, and Technical Competence.

REINSTATEMENT If you are a former federal employee that has been separated for at least 1 year and wish to be non-competitively reinstated to a higher grade or full performance level than which you left federal employment, you MUST provide a copy of your separation SF-50 (the position occupied block on the SF-50 should show a 1 and your tenure block should show a 1 or 2) AND you MUST submit a qualifying performance appraisal from your most recent career or career-conditional position of at least Fully Successful or equivalent. You will NOT be given consideration for non-competitive reinstatement under this option if a performance appraisal document is not submitted.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) provides leadership and coordination and recommends policy for activities designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the administration of the internal revenue laws. TIGTA also recommends policies to prevent and detect fraud and abuse in the programs and operations of the IRS and related entities. 
 
  
U.S. Mint
