IT Procurement Technician
Department: MSP
Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite)
Reports To: Director of Procurement
Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary
DAS Health is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on IT Procurement Technician to support the intake, imaging, and preparation of IT hardware within our managed services environment. This role is heavily focused on receiving, inventorying, bulk imaging, staging, and preparing devices for deployment to support internal teams and client environments.
The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with hardware, thrives in a fast-paced and ticket-driven environment, and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and operational efficiency — particularly in high-volume device processing and deployment workflows. While some vendor coordination may be involved, this is not a traditional procurement role; the primary focus is on hardware intake, imaging, and fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inventory, tag, and track IT hardware and related equipment.
  • Configure, image, and pre-stage laptops, desktops, and peripherals prior to deployment.
  • Perform bulk imaging of laptops and desktops to prepare devices for deployment.
  • Support hardware deployments, refreshes, and rollouts for internal teams and client sites.
  • Validate hardware specifications and ensure equipment is staged according to requirements (RAM, storage, OS, peripherals).
  • Utilize KVM or similar tools to efficiently manage and image multiple devices simultaneously.
  • Manage and document work through ticketing and workflow systems, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Track assets using inventory systems, ticketing platforms, and supporting documentation.
  • Support high-volume hardware requests and deployments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
  • Coordinate shipment, delivery, and receipt confirmation of IT equipment.
  • Communicate deployment status and asset updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production, Sales, and Finance teams to align on hardware needs and timelines.
  • Assist with basic vendor coordination or ordering activities when needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve hardware deployment, asset tracking, and fulfillment processes.
  • Perform basic reporting related to hardware inventory and deployment activities.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting IT hardware lifecycle activities (deployment, staging, inventory, or asset management).
  • Experience configuring or imaging end-user devices (laptops, desktops, peripherals).
  • Experience with bulk imaging or high-volume device preparation strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with KVM switches or multi-device imaging setups is a strong plus.
  • Experience working within a ticketing or work-order system.
  • Ability to manage multiple hardware requests or deployments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort working with technical specifications and validating device requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with managed services (MSP) or multi-user environments preferred.
  • ConnectWise PSA/CPQ experience a plus.
Note: Prior procurement or purchasing experience is helpful but not required for this role.
