Enterprise Technology Portfolio Manager

Role Overview

This role reports to the Head of IT Operations and partners with line‑of‑business CIOs to shape and govern the enterprise technology portfolio. The focus is on driving Technology, Data, and AI investment decisions, maximizing business value, and ensuring alignment across initiatives that improve efficiency, enable growth, and enhance customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Governance

• Manage and evolve the multi‑year enterprise technology portfolio aligned to business priorities.

• Lead portfolio intake, prioritization, and investment planning.

• Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps across multiple business units.

• Identify opportunities for standardization, reuse, and scalability.

• Assess emerging technologies and their impact on portfolio direction.

• Maintain governance frameworks and manage cross‑program dependencies.

Value Realization & Performance

• Define and track KPIs to measure portfolio performance and business impact.

• Partner with finance to evaluate investment cases and benefits realization.

• Provide portfolio insights, risks, and trade‑offs to senior leadership.

• Improve portfolio processes, tools, and reporting.

Executive & Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as a strategic liaison across IT, business units, and corporate teams.

• Facilitate executive discussions on priorities and investment decisions.

• Drive alignment across stakeholders and deliver clear portfolio updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced certifications a plus.

• 5–8 years of experience in technology portfolio or program management in Insurance/Financial Services.

• Strong PowerPoint and executive‑level visualization skills.

• High proficiency in AI prompting tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude).

• Solid understanding of software development, infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies.

• Experience with Jira, Microsoft 365, and similar tools.

• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and ability to operate in a matrixed environment.
