IT Operations Manager

Responsibilities

· Functional Management over IT Infrastructure and Operations by driving, managing, and advancing the Company’s business through our Technology & Tools and being responsible for all Company IT asset management

· Company’s primary point of contact for technical solutions for business processes.

· Key member of the Ops team Representing IT Operations relating to Project planning, Equipment procurement, and life cycle management

· Identify the appropriate company strategy for surge projects and manage Windows PC’s / equipment deployment at scale, by partnering with managed service providers and internal resource(s) for high volume set ups and ongoing administration.

· Work with managed service provider(s) and implement / execute appropriate deployment actions. Background in automation and provisioning preferred.

· Act as Systems Administration: Administer Microsoft 365. Knowledge of Entra, Exchange, SharePoint.

· Provide Desktop Help Desk Support: Trouble shoot and triage issues before forwarding on to third party help desk.

· Use Remote Monitoring and Management tools to maintain devices in a hybrid work environment.

· Be responsible for creating and addressing disaster recovery and business continuity with respect to IT security, process improvement and change control.

· Management of Data Centers, Cloud Operations, and 3rd party support teams.

· Manage IT Infrastructure Operations to ensure that business processes are streamlined and optimized for value.

· Implement, manage, and monitor IT infrastructure as compliant with high security standards.

· Partner with our data function to provide the effective monitoring, alerting processes and tools to deliver on business results while continuing to drive the execution of IT operations

· Monitor all critical production processes and technologies that have high visibility and impact on business operations.

· Proactively surface unplanned mission critical issues that impact the time and accuracy parameters of all service offerings.

· Maintain business continuity plans and institutionalize best support practices and policies such as ITIL.

· Investigates operational requirements and problems, seeking effective business solutions through improvements.

· Evaluate, monitor, and align operational performance against KPIs and business goals.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Some knowledge of PowerShell preferred.

· BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

· 5+ years IS operation and production support /consulting experience with distributed 24x7 applications.

· Experience overseeing multiple simultaneous high-priority, business-critical projects; strong project management skills.

· Prior experience managing IT operations with similar size and scale across various domains in a hybrid environment.

· Proven experience in managing all aspects of IT operations, incident response, system maintenance and operational availability experience, vendor relationship, coordination across various support towers including help desk, desk side support, infrastructure mgmt., contract negotiations, vendor performance management, transition management, knowledge management, metrics, SLA definition and ongoing measurements.

What You'll Do
Lead IT Operations & Infrastructure
Own the day-to-day management and strategic direction of IT infrastructure, operations, and end-user technology services.
Serve as the primary technology partner to the business, identifying and implementing solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and scalability.
Oversee the lifecycle management of all company technology assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
Develop and execute IT operational strategies that align with company objectives and future growth.
Modernize & Scale Technology Operations
Lead large-scale device deployment initiatives and workforce onboarding efforts in partnership with managed service providers and internal teams.
Drive automation, provisioning, and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
Manage hybrid workplace technology environments using modern endpoint management and remote monitoring tools.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements that strengthen operational performance and user experience.
Own Core Systems & Security
Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 technologies, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and related services.
Partner with security and business leaders to maintain a secure, compliant, and resilient technology environment.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve disaster recovery, business continuity, change management, and IT governance practices.
Ensure infrastructure and operations meet high standards for security, availability, and performance.
Manage Vendors & Service Delivery
Lead relationships with managed service providers, infrastructure partners, cloud vendors, and third-party support teams.
Establish and monitor service levels, operational metrics, and performance expectations.
Drive accountability across internal and external teams to ensure reliable service delivery and rapid issue resolution.
Manage vendor contracts, renewals, and technology investments to maximize value.
Drive Operational Excellence
Monitor critical business systems and production environments to ensure availability and performance.
Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes that minimize business disruption.
Analyze operational performance data and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement.
Champion ITIL-aligned best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
