The Role

AscentDS is seeking an experienced IT Operations Lead to oversee our IT support and infrastructure. In this role, you will manage all aspects of our IT environment—from equipment procurement and provisioning to ensuring seamless support for end users and managing our Managed Service Provider (MSP). As the ideal candidate, you'll have experience in full cloud environments, with a strong background in Azure Entra ID and Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM).

The Work

• Deploy workstations to assigned desks from a floor plan / seating chart. Unbox, place, route and dress cables cleanly
• Connect and test monitors, docks, keyboards/mice, and peripherals at each seat
• Verify a live network drop at every desk (patch to wall port, confirm the switch port is active); flag dead drops to the cabling contractor rather than trying to fix them
• Testing each seat end-to-end before staff arrive e.g., login, network, printing, file access
• Experience configuring and deploying Windows 11 PCs/laptops in a corporate (domain/cloud-managed) environment
• Comfortable troubleshooting hardware: docking stations, monitors, peripherals, cable/connection issues, and basic component swaps
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Office apps) and SharePoint/OneDrive for end-user file access and permissions troubleshooting
• Basic account and access support (password resets, group membership, profile setup
• Light networking: patch cabling, switch port verification, connectivity diagnostics

Your Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT operations management, preferably in real estate finance or other regulated industries.
• Proven experience in equipment procurement and lifecycle management.
• Extensive hands-on experience managing cloud environments, specifically with Entra ID.
• Expertise with Mobile Device Management (MDM), particularly Microsoft Intune.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.  

The Work Environment

• This role works on-site from Ascent's Encino office, Monday - Thursday (Fridays are work-from-home).
• Full-time, 40 hours per week; must be available for occasional overtime.
• Some nights and weekends required.

Additional Information  

This is a temporary role intended to ensure continuity of Operations support during an office move. The position may require flexibility based on business needs during the coverage period.
