Join Acero Precision

At Acero Precision, we manufacture high-precision components that support some of the world's most demanding industries. Behind every successful operation is reliable technology - and we're looking for an experienced IT professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys solving problems that make an immediate impact.

This is not a traditional help desk position.

As our IT Support Lead, you'll serve as the primary technology resource for the organization, supporting employees across manufacturing, engineering, operations, and administration. You'll have the opportunity to influence technology strategy, improve business systems, lead IT initiatives, and ensure the stability and security of our infrastructure.

If you're the type of person who enjoys troubleshooting a workstation issue in the morning and leading a system improvement project in the afternoon, we'd like to talk with you.

What You'll Do

End User Support

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and business applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and Sharepoint.
  • Manage password resets, MFA enrollment, user accounts, and access permissions.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain employee workstations and technology equipment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and timely resolution of technical issues.

Infrastructure & Systems Administration

  • Monitor and maintain company network infrastructure including Wi-Fi, VPN connectivity, switches, and internet services.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives, antivirus platforms, backup systems, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Administer physical security systems including surveillance cameras and building access controls.
  • Coordinate software updates, system upgrades, and hardware refresh initiatives.
  • Manage IT assets including computers, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and software licensing.
  • Partner with external vendors and managed service providers to ensure reliable technology operations.

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Participate in ERP enhancements, system implementations, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Recommend new tools and technologies that support business growth and employee productivity.
  • Balance day-to-day support responsibilities with long-term strategic projects.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset records, and system procedures.
  • Support company security policies and compliance requirements.
  • Review backup integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity reports and potential threats.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience in a hands-on support or systems administration role.
  • Experience supporting Windows environments, business applications, and end users.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and networking.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Experience working with third-party technology vendors and service providers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Active Directory and user management experience
  • . Windows 10/11 administration and support.
  • VPN and remote access support.
  • Basic networking and firewall administration
  • Experience with help desk or ticketing systems.
  • Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.
