Network Administrator (Advanced)

Position Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives. This role will focus on enterprise network operations, SD-WAN deployment, PKI lifecycle management, secure authentication services, and network connectivity support across a statewide environment. The selected candidate will work closely with Network Operations, Security, and Infrastructure teams to maintain and enhance critical network and identity services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise network and identity initiatives, including SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services.

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, wireless access points, and network infrastructure.

  • Monitor and resolve network connectivity and authentication issues.

  • Support Windows-based systems and mobile device connectivity.

  • Perform network deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.

  • Create and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and design artifacts.

  • Assist with firmware, software, security, and feature upgrades.

  • Manage and resolve network-related service tickets.

  • Coordinate testing, validation, and implementation of network solutions.

  • Work collaboratively with Network, Security, Server Hosting, and business teams.

  • Provide status updates and documentation in accordance with change management processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with enterprise network infrastructure and LAN administration.

  • 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points.

  • 3+ years of experience with SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services.

  • 3+ years of experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues on Windows and mobile devices.

  • 3+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and interpreting network documentation and diagrams.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current or previous network-related certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.).

  • Cisco Networking Academy or similar networking bootcamp/training.

  • Experience supporting enterprise identity and authentication services.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work on ladders during network installations.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout South Carolina.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
