Network Administrator (Advanced)
Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives. This role will focus on enterprise network operations, SD-WAN deployment, PKI lifecycle management, secure authentication services, and network connectivity support across a statewide environment. The selected candidate will work closely with Network Operations, Security, and Infrastructure teams to maintain and enhance critical network and identity services.
Key Responsibilities
Support enterprise network and identity initiatives, including SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, wireless access points, and network infrastructure.
Monitor and resolve network connectivity and authentication issues.
Support Windows-based systems and mobile device connectivity.
Perform network deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
Create and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and design artifacts.
Assist with firmware, software, security, and feature upgrades.
Manage and resolve network-related service tickets.
Coordinate testing, validation, and implementation of network solutions.
Work collaboratively with Network, Security, Server Hosting, and business teams.
Provide status updates and documentation in accordance with change management processes.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
3+ years of experience with enterprise network infrastructure and LAN administration.
3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points.
3+ years of experience with SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services.
3+ years of experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues on Windows and mobile devices.
3+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and interpreting network documentation and diagrams.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Current or previous network-related certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.).
Cisco Networking Academy or similar networking bootcamp/training.
Experience supporting enterprise identity and authentication services.
Additional Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work on ladders during network installations.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout South Carolina.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
