IT Manager (Manufacturing)

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead site IT operations supporting manufacturing, business systems, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees IT infrastructure, ERP platforms, production-supporting technologies, and IT staff while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Quality teams. The position requires regular onsite presence in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day IT operations supporting manufacturing and business functions.

  • Ensure reliability and performance of production-critical systems and plant-floor technologies.

  • Support automation, data collection, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Serve as the escalation point for IT issues impacting operations.

  • Support manufacturing, inventory, and financial workflows through ERP systems.

  • Manage integrations between ERP, shop-floor, and reporting systems.

  • Maintain IT controls supporting SOX compliance.

  • Support internal and external audits.

  • Ensure adherence to cybersecurity, access management, and change control standards.

  • Oversee networks, servers, endpoints, and manufacturing devices.

  • Ensure system uptime, performance, and security.

  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

  • Lead onsite IT staff and contractors.

  • Coordinate with corporate IT teams and third-party vendors.

  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and support services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 7+ years of IT experience within manufacturing or industrial environments.

  • Prior IT leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or migrations.

  • Knowledge of SOX IT controls and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or other regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with operational technology (OT) and plant-floor systems.

  • Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
