Compensation Range: $65,000 - $70,000 yearly commensurate with experience

Overview:

The IT Operations Manager ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the internal OST staff members to support core organizational functions. This is achieved through collection of data and ensuring workflows are properly handled by the team. Data is collected and compiled into meaningful information and submitted to management, thus allowing the department and agency to make business decisions to improve technology at Housing Works. The IT Operations Manager will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT Systems investments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage IT staff and ensure data is being properly collected and analyzed to improve systems.
  • Provide guidance and assign tasks to the internal IT team.
  • Ensure that said tasks are performed correctly and information properly collected and analyzed.
  • Inspect current standards and provide a roadmap to keep equipment up to date.
  • Perform audits on IT Systems to ensure proper procedures are being followed by both IT team and agency members.
  • Help with documentation and training to ensure Housing Works staff can utilize new technologies as they are rolled out.
  • Work with other members of the Operations team to plan projects, maintain compliance logs, and improve existing workspaces.
  • Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
  • Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available.
  • Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
  • Staying up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to the executive team each quarter.
  • Working closely with other department Managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.
  • Providing proactive checks and support to upper management, ranging from VPs to C-suite staff.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in an IT role.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
