This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, which includes the ability to work from home, while also requiring to be in person as needed at our Lakeside and/or Clayton Corporate HQ campus locations in St. Louis, Missouri.

Responsibilities

The Global Booking Orchestration (GBO) team has an immediate need for an IT Manager.  The GBO team is responsible for the development and production support of our consumer websites and mobile applications. As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to partner with product owners as new features are requested for CarShare and consumer technologies/websites. 

 
Responsibilities:  

The IT Manager oversees the execution of operational, tactical, and strategic activities on a daily basis. They determine the time and resources required to complete assignments and guide team members in prioritizing and delivering tasks and projects. Their role includes full people management responsibilities such as career development, training, interviewing, hiring, recognition, discipline, and conducting performance and salary reviews. 

 

The IT Manager develops and retains high-performing staff, preparing them for future roles. They work closely with other managers to identify resource needs and support long-term organizational goals. In addition, they create and maintain procedures that align with the team’s area of expertise and ensure consistent adherence to established processes. The manager fosters strong team morale through open communication and decisive action. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service principles to ensure delivery of consistent, high quality support across diverse customer interactions. 
  • Skilled in leading technical professionals to meet project objectives, ensuring alignment between technical execution and organizational goals. 
  • Proficient in motivating and guiding teams to achieve performance targets, maintain engagement, and foster a collaborative work environment. 
  • Ability to effectively manage employees across multiple work sites, maintaining communication, accountability, and operational consistency regardless of location.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area
  • 6 years of related IT experience 
  • Experience managing multiple IT projects in a large-scale, matrixed environment  
  • Experience in requirements gathering, including analyzing symptoms and causes, identifying and defining the problem to be solved and developing solutions 
  • Experience designing or improving production or workflow processes 
  • Experience managing people, including career planning/support, training, interviewing, hiring, rewarding, disciplining, and performance and salary reviews 
  • Experience managing a professional staff in application development, service fulfillment or a support organization preferred 
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Agile experience including experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence
