Job Title: IT Healthcare Consultant – Software Engineer – Project Lead (10479)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidate must reside in SC, NC, or GA)
Work Address: Columbia, SC 29212
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Interview Process: 1 Round Virtual

Key Responsibilities

Support implementation, configuration, testing, and go-live of healthcare applications including:
- Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Lab Information Systems
- PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)
- Pharmacy systems
Collaborate with vendors, clinical teams, and technical staff for system deployment and support
Maintain healthcare IT infrastructure including applications, databases, templates, and reporting tools
Troubleshoot EMR-related issues and perform root cause analysis
Manage system integrations and ensure seamless data exchange across platforms
Develop and generate reports for business and clinical stakeholders
Document workflows for medical and mental health care processes
Provide ongoing operational support for healthcare IT systems

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (preferably NextGen)
7+ years of experience with Mirth Lab Systems / NextGen Connect
7+ years of experience in EMR Integration
7+ years of experience with Interoperability and Data Transfer
7+ years of experience in Healthcare IT Operations
Experience working with State Government Agencies
Strong experience in healthcare system implementation and production support

Preferred Skills

Experience with HL7 Messaging
Experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)
Certifications such as:
- NextGen Connect Certification
- EHR Certification
- Practice Management Certification
