Job Overview

This is a 12-month, remote, project-based position supporting the technical needs of the STD/HIV staff. You'll work on data migrations, data warehousing projects, and electronic case reporting (eCR) projects, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulatory laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize SQL stored procedures and advanced queries.
  • Create and manage ETL processes and SSIS packages.
  • Engage in data warehousing and report development.
  • Participate in system migrations and testing.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with CDC, HIPAA, and other standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with MS T-SQL.
  • 3+ years of experience with ETL process development.
  • 1+ year of experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • 3+ years of experience with data warehousing and relational databases.
  • Experience with HL7, XML, and MS SQL Server 2016.
  • Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and PHI/PII.

Preferences

  • Experience managing large data sets (1 TB+).
  • Experience with public health or disease surveillance systems.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Analysis System (SAS), LOINC/SNOMED, and R/RStudio.
