IT Consultant

We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant to design, develop, and implement a secure eCheck (ACH) payment solution integrated with an existing online payment platform. This role will be responsible for delivering a scalable, compliant, and user-friendly payment experience while supporting enterprise system integrations, transaction processing, and ongoing platform enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement a web-based eCheck (ACH) payment solution integrated with an existing online payment system.
• Build and maintain a secure customer-facing payment interface for online transaction processing.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and integrations to support payment workflows, validation, and transaction processing.
• Integrate, test, and deploy solutions with existing enterprise and legacy systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial, security, and data protection standards, including payment processing requirements.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs and system architecture.
• Conduct usability assessments and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience and accessibility.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payment processing, system performance, and application integrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, workflows, and specifications.
• Recommend and implement improvements related to scalability, reliability, and future platform enhancements.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, optimization, production support, and application upgrades.
• Participate in source code migration activities from Team Foundation Server (TFS) to Git-based repositories.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for work item management, source control, CI/CD pipeline administration, and deployment activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development and system integration, including enterprise and legacy system integrations.
• Proven experience developing and integrating payment processing systems, preferably ACH/eCheck solutions, including secure transaction processing and encryption.
• Strong proficiency in modern web application development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, front-end frameworks, and technologies such as Java and/or .NET.
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing customer-facing web applications with a strong focus on UI/UX, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Experience implementing APIs and system integrations using REST and/or SOAP services.
• Experience working with relational databases and data modeling.
• Experience utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO) for work item tracking, repositories, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience migrating code from TFS to Git-based repositories.
• Experience working within government, utility, financial services, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise and legacy systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including App Services, Azure Functions, and API Management.
• Experience designing customer-facing payment, banking, checkout, billing, or other transaction-based digital experiences utilizing UI/UX best practices.
• Experience supporting high-availability, transaction-driven platforms, including online billing systems, invoice payment solutions, ACH workflows, and banking-related applications.
