We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Platform Expert to serve as the technical authority for our enterprise analytics environment. This role owns the architecture, governance, and long-term evolution of the Fabric platform, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency while enabling decentralized, self-service analytics.
This position bridges enterprise data engineering with business-facing analytics, establishing guardrails, design patterns, and advanced capabilities to accelerate insights while maintaining governance and reliability.
Responsibilities- Architect and manage end-to-end Microsoft Fabric environments, including OneLake design, domain structures, and workspace hierarchies.
- Manage Fabric capacities (F-SKUs), monitor utilization, and optimize performance and cost through proactive capacity planning.
- Configure and govern tenant-level settings, ensuring the right balance between flexibility and compliance.
- Implement and support Snowflake mirroring for near real-time data synchronization across platforms.
- Define and enforce governance standards, including workspace strategy, naming conventions, lifecycle management, and deployment pipelines.
- Establish reusable design patterns and technical guardrails for scalable, secure analytics solutions.
- Build and evolve a Center of Excellence (CoE) to standardize ingestion, transformation, and consumption practices.
- Partner with business and AI teams to support emerging capabilities such as data agents and advanced analytics workflows.
- Evaluate new platform features (e.g., Copilot, real-time intelligence) and integrate them into platform strategy.
- Mentor and support Power BI users, providing guidance on data modeling, performance tuning, and best practices.
- Provide advanced (tier-3) support for complex platform issues across pipelines, capacities, and semantic models.
- Deliver documentation, workshops, and training to improve adoption and data literacy across the organization.
Must-Haves- Proven experience architecting and operating Microsoft Fabric environments, including OneLake, Lakehouses, and Warehouses.
- Advanced expertise in Power BI, including Direct Lake, complex DAX, XMLA endpoints, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience with data integration using Data Factory (pipelines and Dataflows Gen2).
- Experience implementing or supporting Snowflake mirroring or similar cross-platform data synchronization solutions.
- Strong engineering background, including experience with Python and/or PySpark in notebook-based environments.
- Ability to support and guide both technical teams and business users, including citizen developers.
- Strong understanding of platform governance, security, and performance optimization.
Nice-to-Haves- Experience building or operating a Data & Analytics Center of Excellence.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
- Experience supporting decentralized analytics models in large or regulated organizations.
- Exposure to emerging Fabric capabilities such as Copilot, real-time intelligence, or data agents.
