We are seeking a Microsoft Fabric Platform Expert to serve as the technical authority for our enterprise analytics environment. This role owns the architecture, governance, and long-term evolution of the Fabric platform, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency while enabling decentralized, self-service analytics.
This position bridges enterprise data engineering with business-facing analytics, establishing guardrails, design patterns, and advanced capabilities to accelerate insights while maintaining governance and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Architect and manage end-to-end Microsoft Fabric environments, including OneLake design, domain structures, and workspace hierarchies.
  • Manage Fabric capacities (F-SKUs), monitor utilization, and optimize performance and cost through proactive capacity planning.
  • Configure and govern tenant-level settings, ensuring the right balance between flexibility and compliance.
  • Implement and support Snowflake mirroring for near real-time data synchronization across platforms.
  • Define and enforce governance standards, including workspace strategy, naming conventions, lifecycle management, and deployment pipelines.
  • Establish reusable design patterns and technical guardrails for scalable, secure analytics solutions.
  • Build and evolve a Center of Excellence (CoE) to standardize ingestion, transformation, and consumption practices.
  • Partner with business and AI teams to support emerging capabilities such as data agents and advanced analytics workflows.
  • Evaluate new platform features (e.g., Copilot, real-time intelligence) and integrate them into platform strategy.
  • Mentor and support Power BI users, providing guidance on data modeling, performance tuning, and best practices.
  • Provide advanced (tier-3) support for complex platform issues across pipelines, capacities, and semantic models.
  • Deliver documentation, workshops, and training to improve adoption and data literacy across the organization.

Must-Haves
  • Proven experience architecting and operating Microsoft Fabric environments, including OneLake, Lakehouses, and Warehouses.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including Direct Lake, complex DAX, XMLA endpoints, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration using Data Factory (pipelines and Dataflows Gen2).
  • Experience implementing or supporting Snowflake mirroring or similar cross-platform data synchronization solutions.
  • Strong engineering background, including experience with Python and/or PySpark in notebook-based environments.
  • Ability to support and guide both technical teams and business users, including citizen developers.
  • Strong understanding of platform governance, security, and performance optimization.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience building or operating a Data & Analytics Center of Excellence.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-scale governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
  • Experience supporting decentralized analytics models in large or regulated organizations.
  • Exposure to emerging Fabric capabilities such as Copilot, real-time intelligence, or data agents.
