Job Description

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst II to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, data analysis, and process improvement within Agile environments and a proven ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and support delivery of technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze business needs and translate them into requirements.
  • Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities; develop reports and dashboards.
  • Evaluate processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions to support continuous improvement.
  • Lead or support mid-sized projects, assisting with planning, tracking, and delivery coordination.
  • Facilitate communication among business and technical teams; run meetings and workshops.
  • Participate in UAT to validate solutions against acceptance criteria and business goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes, systems, and requirements; track and report project metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Typically 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or related roles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving with business process modeling and documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with Excel, SQL, and Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Agile delivery using Jira.
  • Exposure to creating process flows and data models for enterprise initiatives.

Additional Details:

  • Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
  • Role requires a specific start date based on business need.
  • Primary Skill: Business Analyst (Domain Experts). Tertiary Skill: Agile tools (Jira).

Typical Deliverables:

  • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • User stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Process flows and data models.
  • Dashboards and performance reports.

Level Expectations (BA II vs BA I):

  • Works with greater independence and less supervision.
  • Handles more complex analysis and projects.
  • May mentor junior analysts.
  • Stronger involvement in decision-making and stakeholder management.
