Responsibilities & Qualifications:
The Business Analyst (BA) is a key liaison between business partners and IT teams. This role is responsible for understanding processes and translating business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements that enable effective, secure, and scalable IT solutions across plant and enterprise environments. The role supports the full demand-to-delivery lifecycle including demand intake, requirements elicitation, solution shaping, small to medium project execution, prioritization support, and alignment to established IT governance, architecture, and cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
Be responsible for the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for assigned applications.
Ensure applications are maintained, upgraded, and retired in alignment with business needs and technology standards.
Maintain design documentation and ensure alignment to enterprise architecture.
Collaborate with business partners to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
Lead structured requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews, observations, and document reviews.
Translate business needs into clear, complete, and testable functional requirements, user stories, process flows and technical flows ensuring integration across systems and applications, with appropriate acceptance criteria.
Support feasibility assessments and give to case development.
Collaborates with respective delivery functions and IT partners to deliver IT solutions according to technology standards.
Document data mappings between source systems, transformation rules, and target outputs.
Partner with data engineers, architects, and analytics teams to align business requirements with data models, pipelines, and platform constraints.
Help define targets, metrics, and business rules so reporting and analytics are consistent and trusted.
Project Lifecycle Support (including enhancements)
Participate in demand intake, scope definition, and prioritization routines.
Work closely with IT Solution Partners, Architects, and Project Managers to ensure successful delivery.
Support testing, training, and organizational change activities.
Potential Involvement in configuration, integration, testing, UAT, launch readiness, post-go-live stabilization, and cross-system integration testing.
May coordinate small projects and enhancements from intake through implementation under defined governance
Governance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with PMO governance processes and documentation standards.
Maintain traceability of requirements through the project lifecycle.
Give to benefits realization and post-implementation reviews.
Partner Engagement
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather insights and feedback.
Support communication and alignment across global and regional teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or business transformation projects.
Solid understanding of IT governance, project management, and enterprise systems.
Proficiency in tools such as ServiceNow, Accolade, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, communication, and partner management skills.
