Job Tech Requirements
Intermediate SQL experience, including writing queries, not just executing prewritten queries
Financial software background
Advanced Excel experience
API experience preferred
Software application support experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills, sufficient to produce reports, communicate with customers, and collaborate with team members.
Job Summary
The IT Applications Analyst will become an application and business process expert, partnering with business users to define development requests, including enhancements and application or procedural issues. This role analyzes requirements, develops and executes test plans, supports root cause analysis for production issues, and works collaboratively across departments in a team-focused environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide application and business process support under general supervision, helping improve processes, services, and software to increase business efficiency.
Act as a liaison between business users and the IT group.
Develop scope and define backlog items, including epics, features, and user stories, to support Agile software development teams and/or third-party vendors.
Interpret and document technical publications, diagrams, and project specifications.
Partner with business stakeholders to recommend solutions that help the organization achieve its goals.
Collaborate with business stakeholders throughout the Scrum development process to gather requirements and provide status demonstrations.
Develop and execute robust test scripts and support regression testing activities.
Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
Conduct root cause analysis in support of process improvements and issue resolution.
Identify defects, document expected results, and escalate issues as needed.
Provide demonstrations during Scrum development releases for IT and business stakeholders.
Perform basic fixes and data maintenance.
Assist with demos and training materials for new development releases.
Provide 24/7 production support as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree or equivalent specialized work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience developing and executing test plans under a Scrum development methodology.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand data structure and data flow.
Knowledge of Agile Scrum development methodology.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred, including delimited files, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
