Who We Are:

Operating Systems Support Section - Section that provides Windows support to the SwRI administrative cost centers and to technical divisions as needed. The section is also responsible for managing the Hyper-V, and Windows configuration and endpoint management.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Support in an Enterprise environment managing Windows Server and Windows workstations.
  • Skills include provisioning and management of user and computer objects, management and troubleshooting of Windows related technologies.
  • Monitoring and maintaining Windows devices and infrastructure in an Enterprise environment on premise.
  • Installation and support of 3rd party applications on Windows devices.
  • Support local area networks (LANs), ensuring seamless connectivity and resource sharing.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining existing Microsoft Windows technologies in use and other 3rd party Windows applications.
  • Services include, but are not limited to, file sharing, Distributed File System, IIS web technologies, Print Services Management, and other Windows server services.
  • Design and maintain network infrastructure.
  • Vulnerability assessment and remediation using existing tools such as Security Controls and other inventory management tools.
  • MS SQL server monitoring and configuration.
Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree field. In lieu of a Bachelors degree, 6 years of professional level experience, a high school education or equivalent with technical certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, or Expert is required.
  • 3 years: Microsoft Windows technologies in use and other 3rd party Windows applications.
  • 3 years: Design and maintain network infrastructure
  • 3 years: Vulnerability assessment and remediation using existing tools such as Security Controls and other inventory management tools.
  • 3 years: MS SQL server monitoring and configuration.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
