Job Profile: Site Manager

We are a division of Ergon Construction Group, an Ergon, Inc. company. Our services include soft craft trades (insulation, fireproofing, painting/coatings, scaffolding & heat tracing) and mechanical construction.

Position Overview:

The Site Manager is an onsite leadership role responsible for managing multi-craft maintenance and small capital projects at a customer site in Newell WV.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of OSHA requirements for the specific types of work that we perform.

  • Responsible for managing a fully functional onsite staff consisting of the following:

  • Mechanical and Soft Craft Superintendents

  • Project Controls

  • Safety Tech

  • Quality Control Tech

  • Tool Room Clerk

  • Timekeeper/Admin

  • Generate project estimates and/or manage the generation of project estimates with support from onsite project controls

  • Write and submit proposals

  • Responsible for assuring quality of work meets customer and company expectations.

  • Responsible for fostering a safe work environment and prioritizing worker safety.

  • Act as a key point of customer contact for communicating information and updates, business development, customer satisfaction, work coordination, & work planning.

  • Review time recaps and assure accuracy of craft employee time.

  • Responsible for assuring all aspects of project controls, including but not limited to:

  • Tracking and reporting progress

  • Managing project budget and schedule

  • Accurately accounting man-hours to appropriate cost codes.

  • Change Management

  • Responsible for recruiting and acquiring skilled craft in compliance with company policy.

  • Responsible for managing owned and rented equipment, including maintenance and upkeep

  • Responsible for assuring all materials, supplies, and rental equipment is procured and available for the work.

  • Responsible for managing sub-contractors if needed and coordinate with other onsite contractors.

  • Work with offsite company personnel to achieve project success

  • Responsible for developing good working relationships with all co-workers, customers, & associates.

  • Responsible for maintaining integrity, professionalism, & morale of ISO Services' jobsites.

Educational Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or G.E.D.

Applicable Experience & Competencies:

  • Minimum of 15 years of industrial field leadership experience, with preferred experience with onsite management of embedded maintenance teams.
  • Requires ability to see/ plan weeks ahead, identifying issues before they arise
  • Requires ability to identify and solve problems in the field
  • Requires advanced knowledge of estimating and project controls
  • Requires strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Requires basic computer skills and ability to proficiently use of a smart phone / tablet.
  • Must be willing to work full weeks onsite with occasional weekend and shutdown/outage work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.
  • Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances
  • Must be able to work in high places(no fear of heights)
  • Must be able to work in any environment(heat, cold, rain)
  • Must be able to physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessary
  • Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must be well-groomed
