Position Overview

Apollo’s Insurance Business Solutions Group is seeking a dynamic ISG Business Strategist to support the Business Solutions group and the COO in driving change, designing and redesigning critical business control processes, and ensuring that the capabilities of key non-investment support functions remain aligned with the business needs of the firm’s rapidly growing and constantly changing domestic insurance advisory business. The Strategist will partner with teams across the firm’s business functions to advise on and drive process improvement, organizational change, and strategic alignment initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management consulting, program and project management, and business control process design and implementation, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including senior management.

PrimaryResponsibilities

Drive multi-disciplinary teams to achieve organizational change by applying best practices and techniques in program and project management, business control process design and reengineering, and workshop facilitation. In addition, support the COO by managing cross-functional initiatives, various reporting needs, and supporting strategic alignment of Apollo’s domestic insurance advisory business. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Drive initiatives that align with the strategic goals of the ISG while facilitating the adoption of new control processes, technologies, and organizational structures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

  • Advise and support the COO office in managing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to ensure successful outcomes

  • Develop and employ effective reports and other artifacts to facilitate initiatives, memorialize key decisions, and provide an audit trail around organizational enhancements

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve business control processes and practices across ISG, engaging with key stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns and ensure their buy-in and support

  • Track the progress of initiatives, assess their impact, and make necessary adjustments to ensure success while identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies proactively

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from senior leaders, including preparing communications, root cause analysis reporting, and project timelines

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; Master's degree in Management Consultancy or a related field preferred

  • 0-3 years of experience at a management consulting firm or in a corporate strategy, business transformation, or process improvement role

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing business processes, managing organizational change initiatives, and advising senior stakeholders on strategic and operational improvements

  • Experience analyzing complex business problems, conducting root cause analysis, and translating findings into actionable recommendations for leadership

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, build stakeholder alignment, and drive initiatives from inception through execution in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly through both written and verbal channels

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with project management or workflow tools (e.g., JIRA) is a plus
