The primary role of the IS Technician I is to provide troubleshooting and support to in-house local and regional office technology users. Under general supervision, the technician provides technical software, hardware, and PC network problem resolution to all computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions. Must be able to clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed; troubleshoot networked computer issues; escalate complex end-user problems; conduct hardware and software inventory tracking and reporting; and perform related work as required.
Requirements:
Applies comprehensive knowledge of computer hardware/software concepts.
Delivers, sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software, peripherals, and mobile devices in a corporate setting.
Diagnoses and resolves system hardware, software, network, and user issues via telephone, email, in person, or remotely.
Interfaces with end users and I.T. personnel for resolution of desktop and end user device related problems.
Assists with all aspects of technical support, assists with the onboarding and training for new hires. Instructs end users in the appropriate use of equipment and/or software.
Assists with technology planning and implementation of technology projects.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Manage User accounts across a wide variety of systems.
Is a primary contact for helpdesk requests.
Essential Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with some college or advanced technology education preferred. Experience doing computer troubleshooting experience in a business setting preferred.
CompTIA A+.
Experience in related information technology role preferred.
Knowledge of troubleshooting Microsoft Windows products in a networked environment.
Ability to work independently, taking initiative and ownership, setting priorities, and seeing projects/tasks through to completion.
Discretion in handling confidential information, exhibit a strong customer service approach, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Must have a passion for learning the Information Technology Trades, have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a professional atmosphere with strong written and oral communication skills.

Full-time Non-Exempt. Work is performed primarily in an office setting, on a computer while seated, with the ability to lift up to 15 lbs. Travel Required.
