JOB SUMMARY
The EPIC Application Analyst II - Patient Access is responsible for providing intermediate functional and technical support for the identified set of applications to a variety of business and clinical users. The role partners closely with operational and clinical stakeholders to understand workflows, troubleshoot issues, and design enhancements. This role is a key liaison for a variety of users and will coordinate all activities on behalf of the IS organization.
Hybrid role - if local to DFW area - on-site 1x a week; in state of TX, on-site once a month; out of state candidate would need to come on-site 2x a year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
• Serve as a functional and technical subject matter expert on associated applications and workflows. • Collaborate with operational leaders, end users, and cross-functional IT teams to identify issues, define requirements, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency and user experience. • Build, modify, test, and deploy Epic system changes in a timely and accurate manner, following established change control processes. • Create and execute test scripts for new system builds. • Implement system updates and changes and communicate those changes to super users and end users. • Engage, manage, and communicate to all stakeholders. • Train and mentor Application Analysts.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
• Strong understanding of Patient Access workflows, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and patient movement. • Ability to translate operational needs into system design requirements. • Ability to work well in team environments. • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, workflow tools, and email software applications in an intermediate capacity. • Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and building positive customer relationships. • Self-motivated with ability to identify and resolve issues, and advance personal knowledge. • Ability to execute complex tasks through organization and details motivated approach. • Demonstrates excellent face-to-face communication skills, among facility customers and team members. • Strong facilitation skills for leading integrated build meetings and workflow discussions.
